On Independence Day (Friday, July 4, 2008), San Diego area transit services will operate with the following schedules:
MTS Bus and Trolley Services: Sunday Schedule (Details on extra service below)
NCTD BREEZE, SPRINTER, and FAST: Sunday Schedule
NCTD COASTER & Sorrento Valley COASTER Connection: No Service
In addition, the Regional Transit Telephone Information Office (511) will be open from 8:00am to 5:00pm and the Transit Store will be closed.
MTS Access and ADA Suburban Paratransit subscriptions are cancelled for July 4, 2008. Subscription ADA passengers who want to maintain their trip on this day must call 3-5 days in advance to arrange their transportation.
Extra San Diego Trolley on 4th of July
The San Diego Trolley will operate a Sunday Schedule all day long except to provide extra late night service for the close of fire works shows. The best stations to use for the downtown fireworks shows are the Santa Fe Depot, America Plaza and Seaport Village Stations.
Orange Line: an extra trip will depart the Seaport Village Station via downtown at approximately 9:55 p.m.
Blue Line: an extra trip departs the Old Town Station en route to South Bay and San Ysidro via downtown at 9:30 p.m. This train will depart the Santa Fe Depot Station at 9:40 p.m.
Green Line: The 10:30 p.m. departure from Old Town that normally ends at SDSU will continue on to Santee Town Center.

Take MTS Route 901 from Downtown or from the Iris Avenue Blue Line Station.

From Downtown San Diego or Old Town take MTS Route 30. Route runs every 30 minutes. Extra buses will be on hand to maintain schedules on Friday, 4th of July.

From Old Town take MTS Route 35. |
| PACIFIC BEACH |
From Old Town take MTS Routes 8, 9 and 30.
On Friday, 4th of July, MTS will have extra buses for Routes 8, 9 and 30 to maintain schedules and spacing.
From Kearny Mesa/Clairemont catch MTS Route 27 westbound on Balboa.
