Bus Driver Takes Last Trip After 40 Years at MTS

G.B. Nunn started working for Metropolitan Transit in 1968

Retiring Metropolitan Transit System G.B. Nunn bus driver drove his last trip on Route 10 with his family on Thursday. Nunn has been a bus driver at MTS for more than 40 years and will officially retire Friday, March 13 at a celebration at the MTS headquarters.

Nunn’s family surprised him by boarding his bus at 10:03 a.m. at Washington and Pacific Hwy and riding with him for the route back to Old Town. His children and grandchildren treaveled from Illinois, Nevada, and all over California.

A Spring Valley resident, Nunn started driving for MTS in 1968.
