FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego Trolley Enhances Service for Street Scene '08

Expanded Trolley service and MTS Bus service will provide direct transportation to this year’s Street Scene two-day music concert at Tailgate Park in downtown adjacent to PETCO Park on September 19th and 20th.

Fans taking the Trolley’s Blue or Orange Lines can go to either the 12th & Imperial Transit Center or the Park & Market Station and walk to the Street Scene entrance gate at 13th Avenue at J Street. Green Line riders can either transfer to the Blue Line at the Old Town Transit Center or the Orange Line at the Grossmont Transit Center.

There will be added late-night service on both Friday and Saturday nights:
• Blue Line to San Ysidro – Last train departs 12th & Imperial at 12:53 am
• Blue Line to Old Town: Last train departs 12th & Imperial at 1:31 am
• Orange Line to El Cajon & Gillespie Field Stations: Last train departs 12th & Imperial Station at 12:49 am
• Green Line to Santee: Last train departs Old Town Station at 1:25 am
• Special Shuttles will depart 12th & Imperial beginning at 10:21pm and operate through downtown to Old Town before continuing to Santee on the Green Line. The final trip will depart 12th & Imperial Street Scene at 1:01am.

MTS Bus Routes 4, 11, 901, and 929 also serve the 12th & Imperial Transit Center. MTS Bus and Trolley customers are encouraged to buy a $5 Day Pass before starting their trip in order to save time and avoid ticket lines after the game. The Day Pass allows unlimited transfers between the Trolleys and Buses. On the Bus put $5 into the farebox when boarding; on the Trolley purchase the Day Pass from the ticket machine located on the Trolley station platform. The Trolley’s new one-way flat fare is now $2.50 to any station and the Senior/Disabled/Medicare one-way flat fare is $1.25 to any station. In the Downtown Zone the one-way flat fare is $1.25 and the S/D/M fare is $0.60.

Some of the busier stations will have staffed ticket booths. A Trolley flat fare ticket can be used to transfer from one trolley line to another but not to a bus route. A bus one-way fare cannot be used to transfer to another bus route or a trolley line. For more information on special event services or to purchase tickets visit www.sdmts.com.
