During the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on Sunday, June 5, 2011, there will be expanded Trolley service and Trolley service interruptions. Detailed information is listed below.

Downtown Service Interruption
From 6:15 to 9:45 am, Trolley service will be impacted for both the Blue and Orange Lines downtown. See details below.
Blue Line
• From 6:15 to 9:45 am, there will be no Trolley service between City College and Fifth Avenue stations. Special buses will provide connecting service. Passengers are advised to allow for additional travel time. Normal Trolley operations should resume by 9:45 am.
• To minimize delays to passengers, increased frequency will operate between downtown and Old Town (continuing to Qualcomm Stadium) during the downtown service interruption.
• From 4:46 am to 2:01 pm, Blue Line trains will operate expanded service to Qualcomm Stadium from 12th & Imperial.
• Stations between Bayfront/E Street Station in Chula Vista and the 12th & Imperial Transit Center will be closed due to the Trolley Renewal project. After 9:00 pm on Friday, and all day on Saturday and Sunday, MTS will operate a shuttle bus service connecting to Trolley service on each side of the construction area, stopping at the affected stations on the way. Blue Line Timetable - Rock 'N' Roll Marathon
Orange Line
• From 6:15 to 9:45 am, no Orange Line Trolley service will be provided to the City College, Fifth Avenue, Civic Center, America Plaza or Seaport Village stations. Special buses will provide connecting service between City College and Fifth Avenue. Passengers are advised to allow for additional travel time. Normal Trolley operations should resume by 9:45 am.
• An Orange Line train will circulate between 12th & Imperial, Gaslamp Quarter, and Convention Center stations. Passengers wishing to transfer to a Blue Line Trolley toward Old Town will need to take the special bus service from City College to the Fifth Avenue Station.
Green Line
• Increased frequency will operate during the marathon between Old Town and SDSU.

Special Event Red Line
• Red Line service will operate between the Gaslamp Quarter / Convention Center area and Qualcomm Stadium during the marathon. Service will be suspended between 6:00am and 9:30am as the tracks are closed in downtown to accomodate the runners.

Parking
• No parking will be available at the Morena/Linda Vista station during the race.
• Free parking will be available at Qualcomm Stadium. Note that all Trolley passengers, including runners, must have a valid ticket or pass—see fare info below.
• Marathon parking for runners only will be available at the Airport Authority lot (at Washington St. & Pacific Highway) near the Washington Street station. Shuttle bus service will be available from this lot to the Start Line and from the Finish Line area.
Trolley Service to Start Line Shuttle Buses
• Special Event ‘Red Line’ and Blue Line Trolleys will take runners to Washington Street Station to board shuttle buses departing from the participant parking lot. Trolley travel time from downtown and Mission Valley stations to Washington Street Station is 10–15 minutes. Trolley service to Washington Street Station will begin at the following times:

• Check your race packet for Start Line shuttle bus departure times.
Fare
• A valid ticket or pass is required to ride the Trolley. One-way Trolley tickets are $2.50 (one-way Senior/Disabled/Medicare tickets are $1.25) and 1-Day Passes are $5.00. Tickets and Day Passes are available at the ticket machines at all Trolley stations. See additional fare information on the Fares page.
• 1-Day, 2-Day, 3-Day, and 4-Day Passes will be available at the MTS Trolley booth at the Marathon Expo on June 3 & 4. This includes passes post-dated for race day.

Trolley Service for Spectators Along the Course
• Special Event 'Red Line' service between the Convention Center area and Qualcomm Stadium will resume at 9:42 am and operates every 15 minutes.
• Blue Line service will extend beyond Old Town to Qualcomm Stadium and operates every 15 minutes throughout the day.
• For viewing points in Mission Valley, take the Green Line, extended Blue Line, or the Special Event 'Red Line' to the Morena/Linda Vista station, which is within walking distance (1 mile) of the Finish Line area.
• The Blue Line will run expanded service past its normal terminus at Old Town and instead continue through to Qualcomm Stadium making stops at the Morena/Linda Vista Station.
Fare
