MTS Adding Extra Trolley Service for Sold-Out Beyonce Concert at Qualcomm Stadium

San Diego – Beyonce is heading to Qualcomm Stadium on Thursday night for her Formation World Tour and MTS is offering mobile ticketing and scheduling extra Green Line trains to accommodate the large crowds. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

To avoid Trolley ticket lines and speed up the boarding process, concert-goers can use the MTS mobile ticketing app called mTicket to purchase and store Trolley passes on their mobile phones at any time prior to arriving at transit stations. After the concert, MTS will have an exclusive boarding line only available for mTicket holders allowing front-of-the-line privileges and easy boarding. Multiple mTickets can be purchased on one smart phone too, making it easy for friends traveling to the concert together. To download the app, visit www.sdmts.com/fares-passes/mobile-ticketing. Fans can also find the app by search for “mTicket” in the App Store or on Google Play.

MTS provides convenient access to Qualcomm Stadium via the Green Line Trolley. Thursday’s Green Line Trolley schedule is as follows:

  • Trains will depart each station every 15 minutes throughout the day.
  • Shortly after 4 p.m. service will increase to 7-8-minute frequencies from stations between Old Town and Qualcomm Stadium.
  • At 4:45 p.m. service will increase to 7-8-minutes frequencies between SDSU and Qualcomm Stadium.
  • Last train to leave towards Santee from Qualcomm Stadium is 12:07 a.m.
  • Last train to leave towards downtown San Diego from Qualcomm Stadium is 12:38 a.m.
