September Service Changes

Please note changes listed below to MTS services, effective Sunday, September 4, 2022. Be sure to pick up a new ORANGE timetable for the affected routes!

Reduced frequencies will be implemented on many routes temporarily due to a shortage of drivers. Details for these temporary adjustments (and other changes) are in the table below. These routes will resume their regular frequency as staffing levels allow.

1 Weekday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes. PDF

7 The last westbound Broadway stop in Downtown is changed from Union Street to First Avenue. Also, additional eastbound trips will be provided in the early afternoon peak between City College and 54th Street. PDF
8 Weekday and Saturday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes. Also, schedule adjustments on all days. PDF
28 Weekday morning peak frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes. PDF
30 Weekday midday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes (peak frequency remains every 15 minutes). PDF
35 Weekday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes. PDF
43 Weekday midday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes (peak frequency remains every 15 minutes). PDF
44 New weekday peak hour trips added between Old Town and Mesa College on Mesa College school days. PDF
120 On Saturdays, the northern terminal is changed from the Kearny Mesa Transit Center to Health Center Drive (Sharp Hospital), matching the Sunday routing. Route 44 is now available as an alternative between Kearny Mesa, Linda Vista, and Fashion Valley. PDF
140 Weekday peak frequency is reduced from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes. PDF
201/202 Saturday and Sunday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes. PDF
215 Saturday and Sunday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes. PDF
225 Weekend night frequency is reduced from every 30 to every 60 minutes. PDF

709 Route 709L service suspension continues until further notice. (No new timetable.) Service to Southwestern College is available on Routes 709 and 712. PDF
712 Weekday midday frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes (peak frequency remains every 15 minutes). Also, Route 712L service suspension continues until further notice. Service to Southwestern College is available on Routes 709 and 712. PDF
833 The Route 833 stop at the El Cajon Transit Center is moved to the west side of the island to share with Route 894. No new timetable
854 Route 854X service suspension continues until further notice. (No new timetable.) Service to Grossmont College is available on Routes 115 and 854. No new timetable
855 The Rancho San Diego terminal is relocated from Calavo Drive to eastbound Jamacha Blvd., at a new stop at Folex Way. PDF
901 Weekday peak frequency is reduced from every 15 to every 20 minutes. PDF
904 Coronado’s “Free Summer Shuttle” service continues through Monday, September 5. Regular hourly frequency and normal fares resume on Tuesday, September 6. PDF
