First Transit Work Stoppage

Possible First Transit Work Stoppage

ALL SERVICE IS OPERATING ON SCHEDULE

First Transit and the Teamsters Local 524 have reached a tentative agreement in their labor negotiations. Union members will vote on the agreement within the next two weeks. There will be no work stoppage until after the vote.

If the agreement is rejected, a strike would have several impacts to the bus service First Transit operates for MTS, including most MTS bus routes, Rapid routes and Trolley.

MTS apologizes for the inconveniences this causes you. In many cases, there are transit alternatives close-by. For more information and trip planning assistance, call 619.233.3004.
