Welcome and thank you for your interest in the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). This site is intended for current and prospective vendors who wish to do business with MTS. This page also provides information on MTS contracting and procurement opportunities.

MTS has a centralized Procurement Department that administers all the procurement activities for MTS and its subsidiaries: San Diego Trolley, Inc. (SDTI), and San Diego Transit Corporation (SDTC). Centralized purchasing standardizes bidding and evaluation procedures, achieves economy of scale benefits, provides consistency in dealing with vendors, and ensures an open, fair, and competitive procurement process.

MTS develops and issues solicitations for all goods, inventory items, consultant and professional services, and public works (construction) projects. MTS Procurement staff strive to deliver quality service in accordance with the MTS procurement policies and procedures, as well as meeting all State and Federal regulations and be responsive to the needs of our customers whether they are internal or external.

MTS strongly encourages the participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's) for all its contracting opportunities. For more information regarding the requirements of the DBE program, becoming a certified DBE, please refer to the DBE Program section or contact MTS at (619) 231-1466.
