Once I submit my application/resume with all required attachments, will a Human Resource Representative meet with me to review it?
No, a representative from Human Resources will call you only if you are selected for testing or an interview.
 
How long before I hear from you?
In most instances each application/resume will be acknowledged, however, it may take several weeks depending upon the volume of response received.
 
How will I be notified?
If selected to interview, you will be contacted by telephone.  All other notifications will be by mail.
 
Is there a specific timeframe when some positions are open?
No, we recommend that you check the web site regularly for Employment Opportunities or call the job hotline at 619-557-4572.
 
How long will you be accepting applications?
Applications are accepted until the position is filled; see the specific job posting for more information.
 
Do you hire the people that clean the Trolleys?
No, they are hired through our Contractor, NMS Management, Inc. (619-425-0440).
 
Who hires for security positions for MTS?
MTS hires the Code Compliance Inspectors for Trolley and Bus.
Transit System Security Guards are hired through Heritage Security Services (619-275-7000).
