MTS is continuing their Holiday tradition this year of helping San Diego residents stay safe while ringing in the New Year. On December 31, New Years Eve, MTS will offer free “Night Owl” service.

Beginning at 6 p.m. and running throughout the night on December 31, MTS Bus routes 901, 7, 11 and the Trolley will offer late night service. All MTS Bus routes as well as Trolley rides will be free of charge until the following morning.

The service is sponsored by Sycuan Casino and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Also, friends ride free on New Year's Day -- as MTS' way to ring in 2009 when one person pays for a bus or trolley fare, their friend or family member rides free.
