The mission of the MTS Security Department is to maintain a safe and secure transit system for commuters and the entire MTS community. In accomplishing this mission, we have developed and maintained a strong partnership with the local governmental authorities, judicially enforce all laws that would enhance safety and ensure orderly conduct on or about transit premises.

Goals

• To effectively deploy daily personnel and resources that will maximize visibility for service.
• To investigate all reported crimes and department misconduct in a timely manner.
• To promote a sustained crime prevention program in partnership with local law enforcement authorities.
• To maintain a secure transit system to the best of our ability. 

Drug & Alcohol Enforcement

• The Security Department enforces State Law with regard to drug and alcohol violations.
