Parade is at 9:30pm
Mardi Gras main entrance is on Fifth Avenue, just south of Broadway. The closest Trolley station, Fifth Avenue, is located 1 block north of the main gate. The Fifth Avenue Station is served by the Blue & Orange lines.
A second entrance is located at 6th Avenue and K Street. The closest Trolley station, the Gaslamp Quarter Station, is served by the Orange Line.
Event Bus Detour Information
Getting to Mardi Gras
From South Bay, Chula Vista, National City:
Take the northbound Blue Line to the Fifth Avenue station.
From East County, El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Encanto:
Take the westbound Orange Line to the Fifth Avenue Station
From SDSU, Grantville:
Take the westbound Green Line to Old Town; transfer to southbound Blue Line to the Fifth Avenue station
From Qualcomm Stadium, Mission Valley, Fashion Valley, Old Town
Take the Blue Line (toward San Ysidro) to the Fifth Avenue station.
NOTE: Beginning at 5:15pm from Qualcomm Stadium, all Blue Line trains will operate expanded service continuing past their normal terminus at Old Town, operating through to Qualcomm Stadium. This will provide direct (no transfer) service to the Fifth Avenue station and Mardi Gras.
Parking at Qualcomm is free except during major stadium events.
Purchase a $5 Day Pass before boarding. (Select stations will have Ticket Booth sales.)
The Blue Line will operate every 15 minutes throughout the event.
The Orange Line will operate every 15 minutes during the day and then every 30 minutes during the event. 15-minute service will resume at the end of the event (around midnight).
Immediately after the event (beginning at 12:08am), Blue Line trains bound for Qualcomm Stadium will also continue to SDSU. Prior to that time, passengers traveling to Grantville or SDSU will need to transfer to the Green Line at Qualcomm Stadium.
Please note, there is no late service to Alvarado Medical Center, 70th Street, or Santee stations after the event. The last Green Line train serving these stations departs Old Town at 10:30pm.
