Taking the Trolley to Qualcomm Stadium

The San Diego Trolley Green Line provides regularly scheduled service to Qualcomm Stadium every day from approximately 5:00 a.m. to midnight. Trolleys depart most stations every 15 minutes. Special service will be offered on Game Day with enhanced frequency between the Convention Center area of downtown and the stadium. The Qualcomm Stadium Trolley Station is located in Section J of the parking lot, just steps away from Gate K. (Looking for Holiday Bowl Information?)

TIP: Purchase $5 Day Passes at any Trolley Station ticket machine which accept cash, credit, and debit cards. MTS now sells all Day Passes on the Compass Card. If you don't have a Compass Card, you must purchase one from the machine for a fee of $2 in addition to the $5 Day Pass. You may keep the card and reload it in the future. Select stations will also offer ticket booth sales on game day.  You may also use your Monthly Pass. View regular Trolley map and schedules. See more Game Day Rider Tips

Special Game Day Service:

Beginning at approximately 4:45 p.m., special enhanced Green Line service will operate more frequently between the Convention Center area and Qualcomm Stadium, operating through Old Town and Mission Valley. Trains will depart every 8-minutes from the Convention Center area.

Game Day Rider Tips

  • Travel early: Allow extra time as Trolleys will be crowded at times.  At some of the more popular locations closer to the stadium, trains may arrive that are already full.  Rest assured that the trains will continue to operate as often as possible providing service to all of our customers.
  • Purchase a Day Pass: At the ticket kiosks or Ticket Vending Machines, purchase your Day Pass to avoid ticket lines after the game.
  • Purhase your fare on your mobile device: Downlaod the free MTS mTicket and then purchase up to five 1-Day Passes on a single mobile device (passengers must travel together). Then after the game, bypass the main line and use the mTicket Express Line to get on the Trolley. Save time and money; use the MTS mTicket!
  • Accessible Entrance Located at the Jack Murphy Statue:  This will allow direct access to the station elevator and ramp ways to the boarding platforms.  Passengers requiring an accessible path and their parties should use this entrance regardless of direction of travel.
  • Avoid Attempting to Bypass the Line by Walking to the Next Station: Although the line may appear daunting, please be patient and allow us to move all passengers in as timely a manner as possible.  Passengers choosing to walk to the Mission San Diego or Fenton Parkway stations will find that station access will be metered allowing only a limited number of passengers to enter at a time.  If you must avoid the rush, please consider departing the game a little early or waiting for a while after the game to enter the line.
