Due to the Hillcrest Farmers Market University Avenue will be closed in both directions from Herbert St to Park Bl every Sunday from 5:00am-5:30pm starting on 1/26 to 12/28. As a result, the route 1 will be on detour and the eastbound route 1 stop on University Ave at Herbert St (#10494) and the westbound route 1 stops on University Ave at Normal St (#10865) and University Ave at Richmond St (#10862) will be closed. Passengers are advised to board the eastbound route 1on University Ave at Richmond St (#10114) or at Park Bl at University Ave (#12804) and the westbound route 1 on Park Bl at University Ave (#11675) or University Ave at Vermont St (#11254).

Due to construction project, the northbound route 2 bus stop located at Broadway & 20th St (#10119) will be Closed 09/05/23 - 12/31/25.
Passengers are advised to catch the northbound 2 at Broadway & 22nd St (#10504)

The route 3 SB & 5 EB will be on detour from 4/23/2025 to 5/06/2025 due to construction on Market Street.

Due to construction, the Route 3 & 5 Eastbound Stop Closure at Market St & 19th #10118 will be closed off from 4/14/2025 to 5/06/2025 7AM-4:00PM. Passengers are advised to make connections at Market St & 22nd St.

Beginning Thursday 11/2/23, the westbound Route 4 bus stop (#11311) will be out of service until May, 2025 due to building construction on nearby property. Passengers are advised to connect with westbound service at the temporary A-frame stop located around the corner on 32nd St.

Petco park will host the San Diego Padres vs the SF Giants in a 2 game series as follows:

Game 1 - Tuesday, April 29th at 6:40pm
Game 2 - Wednesday, April 30th at 1:10pm

The games will have heavy traffic resulting in MTS service delays. In the event of heavy traffic, the westbound Route 4 will be detouring off of Imperial Ave at 21st. 2 hours before each game and up to 1 hour after each game

The route 3 SB & 5 EB will be on detour from 4/23/2025 to 5/06/2025 due to construction on Market Street.

Due to construction, the Route 3 & 5 Eastbound Stop Closure at Market St & 19th #10118 will be closed off from 4/14/2025 to 5/06/2025 7AM-4:00PM. Passengers are advised to make connections at Market St & 22nd St.

Due to the Day-to-Day Vintage Market (North Park Way) on Saturday 9/20 from 9:00am-6:30pm North Park Way will be closed. As a result, the route 6 will be on detour. No bus stops will be missed.

Due to the Vegan Food Popup taking place the 2nd Saturday of every month, Route 6 will detour off North Park Way during this event on 12/13/25 from 9am - 5:30pm. No stops will be missed.

Every Thursday, North Park Way between 30th and Granada will be blocked due to the weekly North Park Farmers Market. During this event, Route 6 will detour between 12N and 8:30pm. No bus stops will be affected.

Due to bus pad installation, the westbound routes 7,10 & 965 bus stop located at University Av & Fairmount Av (#10989), will be temporarily closed 04/21/25 - 05/9/25 (24/7).

Passengers are advised to catch all routes on the west side of Fairmount Av at the a - frame.

Due to the Spring Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 5/4 W. Mission Bay Dr will be closed from Ingraham St to Quivira Rd in the westbound direction only. As a result, the northbound route 8 will be on detour without missing any stops, the southbound route 8 bus stop on W. Mission Bay Dr at Quivira Rd (#10372) will be closed, passengers are advised to board the southbound route 8 at the temporary bus stop marked by an a-frame on W. Mission Bay Dr at Quivira Rd near side.

Due to the La Jolla Half Marathon and La Jolla Shores 5K on Saturday 5/17 from 6:00am to 11:00am the southbound route 30 will be on detour. The southbound route 30 will be on detour from La Jolla Village Dr at Torrey Pines Rd. As a result, all the southbound route 30 stops on N. Torrey Pines Rd and La Jolla Shores Drive will be closed. Passengers are advised to board the southbound route 30 on Gilman Dr at Eucalyptus Grove Ln or Torrey Pines Rd at Calle De La Plata.

Due to the Villa La Jolla Drive Drainage System Emergency work the southbound route 30 has experienced extreme delays. Passengers can board the southbound route 30 at the temporary bus stop marked by an a-frame on Lebon Dr at Nobel Dr or at Villa La Jolla Dr at La Jolla Village Dr (#99931) or take the route 202 and transfer to the southbound route 30 at Gilman Dr at Eucalyptus Grove Ln (#11548).

Effective Sunday, June 25, the westbound bus stop at Gilman & Myers will be closed due to a major construction project. The stop will be closed for approximately three years, until the summer of 2026. Southbound route 30 will service the temporary location on Gilman at Mandeville (ID# 89022).

Due Pipeline Installation on Genesee Avenue between Governor Drive & Nobel Dr the routes 31, 41 & 105 may encounter heavy traffic during am/ pm rush hour. No bus stops will be missed but service may be delayed.

Due to the Genesee Pipeline Construction Project, the routes 41 & 105 bus stop located at, Genesee Av & Calgary Dr. (#12354) will be temporarily closed 11/27/23 - 12/31/25 (DATE HAS BEEN EXTENDED) (24hrs a day).

Passengers are advised to catch the northbound routes 41 & 105 at Genesee Av & Centurion Sq (#13143).

Due to construction, the route 201 bus stop located at Nobel Dr & La Jolla Village Square Drwy (#13024), will be temporarily closed 02/27/25 - 05/31/25 between the hours of 9:00pm - 5:00am (Sun - Thur).

On Wednesdays only between 9am - 3pm, Route 225 will be on detour leaving the downtown terminal. No bus stops will be missed.

Due to Caltrans work on Monday 5/5 from 8pm-3am the northbound BRT route 235 Sabres Springs Transit Station on ramp will be closed. The northbound BRT route 235 will be on detour departing Sabre Springs Transit Station, no bus stops will be missed. Service may be delayed.

On Wednesdays between 9am - 3pm, Route 235 wil detour leaving the downtown terminal. However, no bus stops will be missed.

Route 701 & 709 Stop Closure at #30079 H St & 5th Ave due to construction from September 30, 2024, until November 4, 2025. Passengers are advised to make connections at the MTS temporary bus stop (A-Frame) located in front of Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. Passengers boarding Route 701 may also utilize the bus stop located at #30524 4th Ave & H St.

Due to construction, the Route 701 bus stop at 4th Ave & Park Way (Stop ID: 30549) will be temporarily closed from 4/11/25 to 5/11/25, between 24HRS. Passengers are advised to make connections at the nearest bus stop at F St & Garrett Ave (Stop ID: 30221).

Due to on going construction in the area causing an Accessibility issue Bus stop#11385 will be closed until November of 2025. Passengers are advised to make connections at #11008 E St & 4th Av {705, 929}.

Route 701 & 709 Stop Closure at #30079 H St & 5th Ave due to construction from September 30, 2024, until November 4, 2025. Passengers are advised to make connections at the MTS temporary bus stop (A-Frame) located in front of Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. Passengers boarding Route 701 may also utilize the bus stop located at #30524 4th Ave & H St.

Bus stop 41079 on Graves Ave. and East Bradley Ave. will be close due to construction till May of 2025.

Route 848 Eastbound at Emerald Hill Ln. and Woodside Ave we have a bus stop with a route blade missing. As of now our maintenance team is schedule to add a blade. There is a temporary A-frame at the location for route information.

Effective Sunday, June 25, the westbound bus stop at Gilman & Myers will be closed due to a major construction project. The stop will be closed for approximately three years, until the summer of 2026. Eastbound route 921A (weekends only) will service the temporary location on Gilman at Mandeville (ID# 89022). A "drop off only" stop will be located on Gilman at Russell.

Route 921 Westbound Bus Stop 99061 located at Pacific Heights Blvd & Mira Mesa Blvd will be closed until 04/30/25. Passengers are advised to use Bus Stop 99270 located at Barnes Canyon Rd & Pacific Heights Blvd for service towards University Town Center. Eastbound route is not affected.
