Taxicabs

 
There are 1,051 taxicabs among 498 permit holders.  All vehicles are inspected by certified staff mechanics.  Inspections are done as part of the Taxicab Administration’s responsibility to ensure passengers have a comfortable trip in a safe and clean vehicle.
 
Drivers shall be hygienically clean, well-groomed, neat and suitably dressed.  For more information regarding how to become a taxicab driver, contact the Sheriff’s Department Licensing Division, at  858.974.2020.
