City of San Diego Taxicab Permits

On November 10, 2014, the San Diego City Council amended Council Policy 500-02 to allow additional San Diego taxicab permits to be issued. The MTS Taxicab Administration is in the process of establishing a procedure to implement the new policy. At this time MTS Taxicab Administration is not accepting new applications for city taxicab permits. Sometime in early 2015, staff will begin a process to accept new applications. More information will be posted as it becomes available. Please do not question staff regarding this matter, as there is no further information available at this time.

Thank you,

MTS Taxicab Administration Staff
