Don’t Wait ‘The Longest Time’ for a Ride, Trolley to the Billy Joel and Sting Concert at Petco Park

All three Trolley lines take you directly to the doorstep of Petco Park

San Diego – Billy Joel and Sting are headlining one of the hottest shows at Petco Park Saturday, April 13 and the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) will be increasing Trolley service to accommodate the expected 40,000+ concertgoers.

With the show set to kick off at 7 p.m., concertgoers are encouraged to say goodbye to traffic and high parking costs by taking the Trolley to the stadium.

All three Trolley lines - UC San Diego Blue, Orange and Green - provide direct service to Petco Park.

Getting to Billy Joel’s and Sting’s Concert

Pre-event Service

All Three Trolley Lines: Regular service to the 12th & Imperial Transit Center prior to the concert, with Trolleys picking up fans at all stations every 15 minutes or better and dropping fans off steps away from Petco Park.

Post-event Service

UC San Diego Blue Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes to San Ysidro and to UTC until 45 minutes after the concert ends, with additional trips as needed.

Orange Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes or better for at least 30 minutes after the concert ends, with additional trips as needed.

Green Line: Trolleys will depart every 15 minutes or better for at least 45 minutes after the concert ends, with additional trips as needed.

Construction Alert!

Concert-goers traveling from East County communities, like El Cajon and Santee, are advised that all Trolley stations east of Grossmont Transit Center will not have Trolley service due to scheduled track maintenance. MTS recommends taking a shuttle bus service that will be in place at all the impacted Trolley stations and transferring to the Green Line or Orange Line Trolley at Grossmont Transit Center.
