PREMIUM EXPRESS ROUTE CHANGES

SABRE SPRINGS / PEÑASQUITOS TRANSIT STATION

As of September 29, the I-15 Premium Express routes will be changing. They are changing
to take advantage of the new I-15 Express Lanes and the direct access ramps to the new
Sabre Springs / Peñasquitos Transit Station.

The managed lanes will be open Monday, September 22, but bus service to the
station will not start until September 29.

All routes have at least minor schedule changes. Please consult the new timetables
available on all I-15 Premium Express buses.

The changes are as follows:

ROUTE 810 – Three southbound AM trips and three northbound PM trips will make a slight
deviation into the Sabre Springs / Peñasquitos Transit Station. These trips will be designated
“810A.” All other Route 810 trips will bypass the station on the way to/from downtown San
Diego. Please consult timetable to determine if your trip will be affected.

ROUTE 820 – All Route 820 trips will serve the Sabre Springs / Peñasquitos Transit Station.
The stop on Sabre Springs Parkway at Evening Creek will no longer be served. There will be
slight modifications to the scheduled times for all trips. Please consult the timetable.

ROUTE 850 – There are no alignment changes to Route 850 (these trips will not serve the
Sabre Springs / Peñasquitos Transit Station). However, the scheduled times at both Carmel
Mountain at Stoney Peak and Carmel Mountain at Paseo Cardiel have been adjusted up
two minutes in the morning. Please consult the timetable.

ROUTE 860
– All Route 860 trips will serve the Sabre Springs / Peñasquitos Transit Station.
The last afternoon northbound departure from downtown has been adjusted. Please consult
the timetable. The stop on Rancho Carmel Drive north of Ted Williams Parkway (next
to Oggi’s) will still be served. The stop was incorrectly deleted on the timetable.

SABRE SPRINGS / PEÑASQUITOS TRANSIT STATION

The Sabre Springs / Peñasquitos Transit Station will be located at 13538 Sabre Springs
Parkway (south of Ted Williams Parkway).

Eleven trips on three different routes (810A, 820, and 860) will serve the station both in the
morning and afternoon—consequently, you will have greater flexibility in your trip times
from this station. In the morning, departure times will range from 5:42am to 7:55am. In
the afternoon, departure times from downtown (County Administration Building) to Sabre
Springs will range from 3:05pm to 5:55pm.

No local service will be provided.

Parking is expected to be at a premium. There will be 96 parking spots available at the
station. These will be shared by transit riders, carpoolers, and vanpoolers. It is expected
that the lot will be filled to capacity each day
. Additional parking is expected to be
available in the coming months.

If the parking lot is full when you arrive at the station, there are three park & ride lots
nearby.

Park & ride lots for Route 860 are located on Rancho Carmel Drive just north of Ted Williams
Parkway (near Oggi’s) and on Rancho Carmel Drive just north of Carmel Mountain Road
(next to movie theatres).

A park & ride lot served by Route 820 is available inside the shopping center on Sabre
Springs Parkway, just north of Poway Road.
