Lost and Found

Did you lose something on one of our buses or Trolleys? Give us a call to see if it's been turned into one of our lost and found offices!

Note: Riders are responsible for keeping track of their personal possessions while traveling on MTS buses and trolleys.  If you discover you have left something on a bus, trolley or MTS facility, call the numbers below.  You will have up to 14 days to retrieve the item from the MTS Transit Store or Transdev South Bay/East County (depending on where the item was lost).  MTS reserves the right to dispose, destroy or transfer to the appropriate enforcement entity any item that creates a safety, health or sanitary risk.

If the item is valued at $100 or more, after 14 days it will be transferred to the local police department.   The police department will then hold the item for 90 days.  If unclaimed by the owner after 90 days, it will be sent to public auction.  If the item is valued at less than $100, after 14 days it will be donated or disposed of by MTS.  MTS will use its reasonable discretion in determining the value of all lost and found items.
