Start planning your finest lemon-themed fits and get ready for this year’s 26th Annual Lemon Festival!
Taking place on Saturday, August 12th from 11am-6pm, Downtown Chula Vista’s Third Avenue will transform into a lemon-filled oasis. From lemon pie eating competitions to games, lemonade and cute pups in lemon outfits, this is definitely a free celebration you don’t want to miss!
Chula Vista was once known as “Lemon Capitol of the World.” Although the lemon groves are no more, many of the homes in the area have their own lemon trees, reminding the residents and the generations to come of Downtown Chula Vista’s agricultural history.
This year’s Lemon Festival includes two stages of live music, zesty photo ops, a lemon cook-off competition, a kids zone for the Lil’ Lemons, delicious food options, arts and crafts vendors and a wine and beer garden..

How to get there:
Don’t left traffic sour your day, catch a ride on the UC San Diego Blue Line to the E Street Station then take Route 704 to F Street & 3rd Avenue. You can also take Route 701, 709, or 929. Take the whole family to enjoy the lemon festival and save on gas and parking. Youth 18 and under also ride free with our Youth Opportunity Pass. Remember that each person needs their own PRONTO card or app and that you should scan or tap before every ride - including transfers (which are free for two hours with PRONTO).
