In partnership with San Diego Metropolitan Transit System, San Diego Dance Theater has presented Trolley Dances™ for over 20 years. Trolley Dances™ was created by former Artistic Director Jean Isaacs to make dance accessible to our entire community by taking art “to the people.” Each fall, tour guides lead groups of audience members on and off the trolley to view original pieces of outdoor choreography. For this program more than 50 community and company dancers perform at various sites.
This year, Trolley Dances is coming to the UC San Diego Blue Line Mid-Coast Extension. The tours will start at the Nobel Drive Station (across from La Jolla Village Square) and will last approximately 2 hours. Event attendees will be able to park for free on the 4th and 5th floors of the Nobel Drive Parking structure at 3449 Nobel Drive, La Jolla, CA 92037.
Adult admission tickets are $25; Senior/Military/Student/Artist $20. All ticket prices include an MTS Day Pass for the event. Tours will begin each day at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:15 p.m., and 2:15 p.m.
