In the last year, we have made vast improvements to our transportation system worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Some of the improvements were made possible by the TransNet sales tax, so you’re supporting public transportation every time you purchase something in San Diego County!
Here’s how we’ve been busy making MTS better for you, our riders:
NEW Trolleys
Our whole Trolley system uses almost all low-floor vehicles, which are more accessible for everyone in the community
NEW Trolley stations
We revamped the stations on the Orange and UC San Diego Blue lines, adding better lighting, improved shelters and a fresh new look to the older lines in our system
NEW Buses
Our new buses use clean natural gas, which is better for the environment and more efficient than diesel
NEW Rapid Service
New or expanded lines operate all day, every day – making trips around San Diego faster and easier
NEW Website
The website has been totally redesigned to make it easier for you to find and view the information you need on the go
UP NEXT
Look out for 600 new bus shelters and 2,000 new bus benches as we enter 2016
