Rock 'n' Roll Marathon + Expo

The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon is back! With 20,000+ runners and 100,000 spectators, MTS is encouraging attendees to take the Trolley to avoid congestion.

Head to Waterfront Park (using the Green Line or UC San Diego Blue Line to County Station/Little Italy) to check out the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday and Saturday. Several viewing locations will be accessible and close to Trolley stations along the both marathon courses.

Trolley Service to Start Lines

Park for free at a park and ride lot. Use your PRONTO card to load money at the Ticket Vending Machine (cash, debit, or credit cards), or via ridePRONTO.com or using the PRONTO app.

From the Green Line from El Cajon, SDSU, Mission Valley, or Old Town, or from the Blue Line from University City or Morena Blvd. stations: travel to the County Center/Little Italy Station, a 1.6 mile walk to the start line. From the Orange Line from El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, or southwest San Diego, or the Blue Line from South Bay stations: travel to the Fifth Avenue Station, a 1.4 mile walk to the start line.

RIDER ALERT: There is an Orange Line closure between Lemon Grove to Euclid Ave this weekend. It is recommended to use Green Line service if possible. Plan for additional time if using the Orange Line.

From UC San Diego Blue Line Stations

The Trolley's UC San Diego Blue Line connects UTC, Pacific Beach, and Old Town to the County Center/Little Italy Station (or Santa Fe Depot Station). From the South it connects San Ysidro and Chula Vista to the 5th Avenue Station.

From Copper Line Stations

Copper Line trains operate every 15 minutes from Santee to El Cajon.
