The La Mesa Village Association's 10th annual Holiday in the Village takes place in the heart of downtown La Mesa along La Mesa Blvd. between 4th Street to Spring Street.

This family friendly and free event features:

  • “Ice” for skating on a synthetic rink.
  • The “Winter Wonderland” kids area filled with inflatable bouncies 
  • “Mrs. Claus Reading Nook” to listen to holiday themed stories
  • Miniature Golf Course
  • Holiday-themed photo op stops
  • Scavenger hunt along the “Elf Adventure Trail” 
  • “Selfies with Santa”
  • Strolling carolers & holiday performances
  • “Elf Yourself Hats” 

The event will also feature a variety of food vendors selling fresh popped kettle corn, hot food items, beverages and more, plus a variety of vendors to shop for unique holiday gifts! And, as the sun goes down, relax with friends and family around cozy fire pits and take in all the merriment of the season that surrounds you in downtown La Mesa.

Let MTS get you to the Holiday in the Village! Park and Ride at one of our transit parking lots for free and easy parking to the event. Be sure to load your PRONTO card or app in advance and avoid the ticket lines. Remember to tap or scan your PRONTO card or app before every ride! On Saturdays, up to two children (age 12 and under) may ride free with a fare-paying adult (age 18 or older) on all MTS routes. Riders 18 & under ride free with the Youth Opportunity Pass.

La Mesa Holiday in the Village is just steps away from the La Mesa Blvd Station off the Orange Line.

Trolleys depart all Orange Line stations every 15 minutes throughout the day. Also accessible via Routes 1 and 852
