How to Get the SDFC All-Season Pass
You can purchase the SDFC All-Season Transit Pass on your PRONTO app or at MTS Trolley ticket machines. Here’s how:
If you have a PRONTO physical card or purchasing through a ticket machine at the station:
You will load an SDFC All-Season Pass onto a physical PRONTO card.
On ticket machines, it will display as "SDFC All-Season Pass " under the “Promotional Passes” button on the main screen.
If using a physical PRONTO card, then use your PRONTO card to tap on the ticket machine or a validator on the platform before boarding the Trolley.
If you have a PRONTO Virtual Card / App:
When adding a new SDFC All-Season Pass on your PRONTO app, you'll want to go through these 3 steps:
- Step 1 – Create a virtual card and select “Add Passes”
- Step 2 – Pick “MTS” as the agency
- Step 3 – Select “SDFC All-Season Pass” to purchase at any time before May 16
Use your PRONTO app to scan at the validator on the platform before boarding the Trolley. You will activate your barcode under the “Use” tab.

Where do I buy my SDFC All-Season Pass?
You can either buy it at an MTS ticket vending machine on the Trolley platform or on the PRONTO app.
Can I store multiple SDFC All-Season Passes on my app?
Unfortunately no. Each person needs to have their own separate SDFC All-Season Pass on the app, or you can purchase/load multiple PRONTO cards at station ticket machines.
How long is the SDFC All-Season Pass valid for?
An SDFC All-Season Pass is valid for the entire MTS service day on home match days. It is valid for all 17 regular season home matches, on the following days:
- February 21
- March 1
- March 22
- April 11
- April 25
- May 2
- May 13
- May 16
- May 23
- July 25
- August 22
- August 29
- September 9
- September 13
- October 14
- October 24
- November 7
*Please note: Fans with the all-season San Diego FC transit pass will need to buy an extra fare for any non-regular season games, including Leagues Cup and Club Friendly matches. They are not included in the all season pass.*
I am only going to 10 home matches. Maybe less. Should I purchase the SDFC All-Season Pass?
Probably not. You should load $50 onto the PRONTO card or app. That will provide you with roundtrip Trolley rides on matchdays. If you plan to take more trips than just to and from the match, the system will charge you an extra $1 and provide you with unlimited rides all day long.
Do I need to scan my PRONTO card or app in order to use the SDFC All-Season Pass for each match?
Yes. Fans are required to scan or tap the All-Season Pass that is stored on their PRONTO card or app before boarding any bus or Trolley, every time they ride. If using the app, pull up the pass and QR code and hold under the validator to scan. If using a physical card, tap the card on the validator.

On game days, when scanning or tapping, the PRONTO system will recognize the SDFC All-Season Pass and no additional funds will be taken from your account.
I’m traveling and paying the Trolley fares for family members. Can I buy multiple SDFC All-Season passes using one PRONTO card or app?
No. It is required that every rider has their own PRONTO card or app. The SDFC All-Season pass and one-way passes can be purchased at any ticket vending machine on all Trolley platforms.
Are youth riders required to have their own pass?
Yes. All youth riders must have their own valid fare to ride. However, MTS has a Youth Opportunity Pass for youth 6-18 – this requires age verification through our PRONTO Support Team (applications can be found through our PRONTO website). For Saturday and Sunday matches, youth 12 and under can ride for free with a fare paying adult (2 children per 1 fare paying adult).
Is the SDFC All-Season Pass valid for friendly matches and playoff matches?
No. The pass will only work for regularly seventeen (17) scheduled home games. Check out the schedule on the San Diego FC website.
Will MTS inspect my SDFC All-Season Pass?
MTS Security officers provide random inspections on Trolleys. Keep your PRONTO card or app handy for a quick inspection.
Does the SDFC All-Season Pass work for the COASTER train or other North County Transit District services on match days?
No. The SDFC All-Season Pass works only on MTS services – the Trolley and MTS buses
