MTS Adding Trolley Service for Monster Energy AMA Supercross

Free Parking available at several Trolley Stations across the MTS system

San Diego – Monster Energy AMA Supercross returns to San Diego this Saturday, January 22! More than 25,000 off-road motorcycle racing fans are expected to attend the event at PETCO Park, and the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is adding Trolley service to accommodate the large crowds.

The Petco Park gates will open to spectators at 12 p.m. for practice and qualifying runs. For those seeking fun outside of the Park prior to the event, the Monster AMA Supercross will feature a Fan Fest Pit Party on the Lexus Premier Lot.

Getting to the Pit Party:

The Pits are open to the public from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The entrance to the Pit Party will be on Imperial Avenue near the entrance to the Mills Building parking structure.
The Lexus Premier Lot and Tailgate Lot South will be unavailable for parking, significantly reducing traditional ballpark parking locations east of the venue. All the more reason to choose transit!

Getting to Supercross:

All Three San Diego Trolley stations - 12th and Imperial and the Gaslamp Quarter Station (Fifth Avenue and Harbor Drive) serve Petco Park.
Many convenient bus routes serve Petco Park, including Routes 12 & 901 which stop right at the ballpark's front door at Park Boulevard and 10th Avenue. Routes 4, 12, 901 & 929 also stop at the 12th and Imperial Transit Center, just two blocks away. Routes 3 and 5 stop along Market Street, just a short walk to the ballpark.

Post-Event Service Boost

Trolley will increase frequency to approximately 15 minutes on all three lines immediately after the event to accommodate crowds leaving the Downtown area.
