Winners will receive a brand new laptop computer
San Diego, CA –Entries are now being accepted for the 10th Annual Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Coca-Cola Laptop Scholarship. The essay contest will award forty college-bound high school seniors from around San Diego County a laptop computer and commemorative certificate. The scholarship is a partnering between MTS, the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Southern California and the San Diego County Office of Education.
To be eligible to win, students submit a 1,000 word essay on how GO! and other innovative uses of mobile devices and the Web can help make travel on public transportation easier.
Application forms are available on-line on the MTS website at www.sdmts.com or at The Transit Store at 1st and Broadway in downtown San Diego. Information is also available at high school counseling offices.
The application deadline is Friday, April 13, 2012. Students who submit their application and essay by the early deadline of March 16, 2012 have the chance to win an iPad 2! See application form for official rules, essay question and details.
