Bus and Trolley operating modified schedules Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving week
San Diego – San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) bus and Trolley services will operate modified schedules Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thursday, Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving Day): The following services will operate a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day: all Trolley lines, Rapid, urban, and local bus routes; and Express Route 20. No service will be provided on Rapid Express Routes 280 and 290, Sorrento Valley COASTER Connection, other Express bus routes or the Vintage Trolley (Silver Line). Rural Route 892 will operate on Wednesday, Nov. 25 instead of on Thanksgiving.
Friday, Nov. 27: All Trolley lines and MTS urban and local bus routes will operate normal weekday schedules. Rapid Express Routes 280 and 290 will operate on a modified service schedule with decreased frequency.
Customer Service: The MTS Information & Trip Planning and Compass Card offices will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, remain closed on Thanksgiving Day, and resume normal call center hours on Friday, Nov. 27. The Transit Store will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, resuming normal operating hours Friday, Nov. 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Transit Store is located at Broadway and 1st in downtown San Diego.
MTS operates 95 bus routes and three Trolley lines on 53 miles of double-tracked railway. Every weekday more than 300,000 passenger trips are taken on MTS bus and Trolley services.
