MTS SERVICE ON UC SAN DIEGO BLUE LINE SUSPENDED DUE TO SUSPICIOUS PACKAGES

San Diego – Due to suspicious packages located on MTS UC San Diego Blue Line tracks, Blue Line services between H Street and Palomar Street stations in Chula Vista has been suspended in both directions. A bus bridge has been set up to transport passengers. Hazmat is investigating the scene. There is no estimated time for a return to service. The UC San Diego Blue Line operates every 7 to 8 minutes until 6:44 p.m. northbound and until 6:01 p.m. southbound. Frequency is every 15 minutes thereafter. Each train carries approximately between 100 and 250 people.

MTS operates 95 bus routes and three Trolley lines on 53 miles of double-tracked railway. Every weekday more than 300,000 passenger trips are taken on MTS bus and Trolley services.
