WHAT: News conference to announce city and county food drive. County of San Diego Supervisor and MTS Board Member Ron Roberts and the Metropolitan Transit System CEO Paul Jablonski will announce “Stuff the Bus” food drive effort. San Diego Food Bank Board President Stephen Cushman will also speak.

WHY: The San Diego Food Bank has faced a tough year, with demand often outweighing donations. As a public agency that works to provide services in San Diego County, MTS feels it is important to help fight hunger for San Diego residents.
MORE INFO: This press conference will be a preview to three events held across San Diego County on Saturday Dec. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Buses will be at three grocery stores, ready to be stuffed to take food to the food bank.

• Mac & cheese
They cannot accept perishable items or items in glass jars due to food safety regulations.
