Trolley Service Disruption in Downtown San Diego

San Diego – The Metropolitan Transit System is advising passengers in the downtown area to plan ahead and prepare for delays during the evening commute on Tuesday due to a downed overhead electrical wire. There is no trolley service between City College Station and Santa Fe Depot (the entire C Street Corridor). The cause of the incident is being investigated and there is no time estimate for service to be restored.

MTS passengers needing service between America Plaza and City College stations can take Rapid 215, Rapid 235 or Route 992 buses at either station. All three routes serve both City College and Santa Fe Depot.

Passengers at Santa Fe Depot heading east on the Orange Line toward El Cajon or south on the UC San Diego Blue Line can take the Green Line to 12th & Imperial for connections.

MTS recommends that passengers check the MTS website, sdmts.com/alerts  and Twitter handle @sdmts for updates. Passengers can also call MTS Information & Trip Planning at (619) 233-3004 or 511 for more information.
