San Diego – The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is ramping up Trolley service for the San Diego State Aztecs vs. Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors football matchup on Saturday night. The Aztecs will play their final game of the regular football season during Fan Appreciation Night, and fans can start the celebration early by taking the Trolley straight to the game.
With increased Trolley service from MTS, easy boarding with the Compass Cloud mobile ticketing app, and plenty of free parking at Trolley stations, the trip is seamless.
MTS services to the stadium - The Trolley’s Sycuan Green Line drops off fans at the doorstep to the stadium. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
- Trains will depart all stations on all Trolley lines every 15 minutes most of the day
- During and after the game, frequent service will operate in both directions*
- *Additional trains will depart the stadium as needed to disperse the crowd. Some of these intermediate trains may only go as far as SDSU to the east and Old Town to the west. Please listen for destination announcements and notice train destination signs before boarding.
Finding the best place to park and ride the Trolley is also important! Prime park and ride locations for the game are:
- Hazard Center: 1,500 free parking spots (Lower Level only; 6 minutes to stadium)
- Old Town Transit Center: 412 free parking spots (15 minutes to stadium)
- Grantville Trolley Station: 404 free parking spots (4 minutes to stadium)
