Head to Harbor Drive for the 40th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Sunday, January 19. The parade is one of the largest celebrations of its kind in the United States in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade is filled with dazzling floats, phenomenal high school bands, drill teams and more.
Save yourself from the hassle of parking and take MTS into Downtown! Trolley or ride Rapid 215, 225 or 235 to America Plaza or Santa Fe Depot, just two blocks from the parade route! For additional convenience, MTS offers free parking at Trolley stations across the system.
Attendees can also speed up their trips by using the Compass Cloud mobile app to get Trolley tickets right to their phone. The app is great for friends and families traveling together - activate up to 10 passes per phone. Passes are $6 for adults, $3 for youth 18 & under (note: two kids 12 & under can ride MTS free on Saturdays an Sundays when accompanied by a paying adult), and $3 for seniors age 65 or older (or seniors who were born on or before September 1, 1959).
