MTS Ramps up Service for Aztecs vs Utah State

Park free at Hazard Center and ride the Trolley to the entrance of the stadium

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Diego – The San Diego State Aztecs will face off the Utah State Aggies this Saturday at SDCCU Stadium, and the Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) will ramp up Trolley service for the thousands of fans attending the game. Enhanced Trolley service begins three hours before the 7:30 p.m. kick off.

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION: Due to track construction this weekend, MTS advises people to park free at any of the 1,500 parking spots available Hazard Center (Lower Level only) or any of the parking lots east of the Stadium Station. The Sycuan Green Line will NOT operate between Santa Fe Depot and Fashion Valley Transit Center. Bus service will be offered to connect passengers to closed Trolley stations. This will increase travel times significantly, including from the Old Town Transit Center.

Normal service will run between Fashion Valley and the Stadium stations, as well as between Santee and Stadium stations. Fans taking the Sycuan Green Line Trolley are conveniently dropped off at the doorstep to the stadium.

Sycuan Green Line takes you to SDCCU:

Trains will depart most Green Line stations every 15 minutes throughout the day
MTS will increase the number of pre- and post-game trains
Increased service begins at 5 p.m. between SDSU Transit Center and SDCCU Stadium Station

Avoid Game Day Traffic! Park and Ride the Trolley

Finding the best place to park and ride the Trolley is also important! Prime park and ride locations for the game are:

Hazard Center Station: 1,500 free parking spots (lower level only; 6 minutes to stadium)
Grantville Trolley Station: 404 free parking spots (4 minutes to stadium)
El Cajon Transit Center: 469 free parking spots (23 minutes to stadium)

Support Services – For questions about the bus service connecting stations between Santa Fe Depot and Old town call (619) 233-3004.
