66th Street Pedestrian Crossing Closure – 9/30/2026 through Mid-November
As we near the end of the first construction phase of the Orange Line Improvement Project, our crews are continuing to deliver upgrades that enhance rider safety and reliability. To help ensure the safety of all riders and pedestrians, our crew will be performing construction on the 66th Street Pedestrian Crossing off the Orange Line (between Akins Ave and Imperial Ave).
During this closure, service to the Imperial Avenue & 66th Street bus stop will be impacted. Riders will be instructed to use the 65th Street bus stop that serves bus routes 4 and 961. Signage will be posted at impacted crossings to help pedestrians and riders safely navigate the closure. See map below for details. For more information, please visit the Alerts and Detours page.
