Trolley service also enhanced for tonight's Concacaf Champion's Cup match featuring San Diego FC
San Diego – As San Diego Wave FC prepares for the 2026 National Women's Soccer League regular season, the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is ready to move fans to the excitement at Snapdragon Stadium all season long. The Wave FC opens their season at home on Saturday, March 14 at 5:45 p.m. against the Houston Dash, and MTS is boosting Trolley service to ensure supporters arrive quickly, easily, and without the stress of stadium traffic.
To accommodate the anticipated large crowds for the club's home opener, MTS will enhance Green Line service before and after the match. With high parking costs and heavy pre‑game congestion around Snapdragon Stadium, MTS encourages fans to take the Trolley, offering a fast, convenient experience that drops riders steps from the gates.
- Green Line Service (Pre-Event): Trolleys depart stations every 15 minutes or better, with additional trips added between 4:10 and 5 p.m. from Downtown San Diego.
- Green Line Service (Post-event): Trolleys depart Stadium Station every 15 minutes or better in both directions, with additional trips added as needed until 8:35 p.m. or until crowds diminish.
To make matchday travel even easier, MTS is once again offering the San Diego Wave FC All‑Season Transit Pass. This special pass provides round‑trip rides to all 15 regular‑season home matches at a 33% discount, giving fans an affordable way to attend every game. The pass is available for only $50 at Trolley station ticket-vending machines and through the PRONTO app. More information is available at sdmts.com/SD-Wave-FC-All-Season-Pass.
Concacaf Champions Cup Service
MTS is also enhancing Trolley service for tonight's Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 showdown, featuring hometown San Diego FC taking on Liga MX's Deportivo Toluca F.C. Fans heading to Snapdragon Stadium can skip traffic and parking delays by riding the Green Line, which provides a seamless connection directly to the stadium.
Service details for tonight's match, including pre‑ and post‑event frequency, are available on the MTS website.
